1. First Weekends at urban mining | Feb 1-4, 2024

Open the first Friday weekend each month, Urban Mining is a vintage market. The market features authentic vintage furniture, art, decor, lighting, antiques, traditional and mid-century, industrial era and maker-crafted treasures.

On Sunday all remaining inventory is 10% off all day long.

2. First Fridays in the Crossroads Arts District | Feb 2, 2024

No First Friday is the same thanks to an eclectic mix of art galleries, boutiques, food trucks, and more. First Fridays in Crossroads is one of the best free things to do in Kansas City every month for art lovers! This late-night event offers something for everyone in one of Downtown’s most vibrant neighborhoods.

3. First Weekends in the West Bottoms | Feb 2-4, 2024

The February theme for First Weekend in West Bottoms is “Bubbles in the Bottoms”. Once home to Kansas City’s stockyards, West Bottoms now offers a wide assortment of antique and vintage stores that are open the first weekend of every month.

In addition to the shopping, the district offers street entertainers, escape games, food trucks, coffee shops,and tastings at a winery and a distillery to round out this uniquely Kansas City experience.

4. Valentines Day at TerraVox Winery- Couples Taste & Tours | Feb 3-14, 2024

6. Cheer on the Super Bowl | Sunday, February 11, 2024

Super Bowl LVII is the final game of the 2023 season and the culmination of last year’s NFL playoffs. The game is scheduled to be played on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kickoff is slated for 5:30 p.m. CST. Halftime performer will be Usher.

It’s looking good that we will see the Chiefs this year. Keep up the momentum Mahomes and Kelce!

One of the best places to watch the game is always at The Granfalloon restaurant and sports bar on the Country Club Plaza. They boast that there’s no bad seat in the house and that every chair views a TV.

7. KC Remodel + Garden Show | Feb 16, 2024

If you love gardening or planning a remodel to your home, you need to add the KC Remodel + Garden Show to your February calendar! There will also be some really fun exhibits like Papa’s Alpacas showcasing their adorable alpacas, sheep and goats. Touring the show should take you between two and four hours. In addition, there are stage presentations on various topics throughout each day.

8. Impress Your Valentine With KC Ballet’s “Peter Pan” | Feb 16-25, 2024

It’s no secret that the Kauffman Center inspires a very romantic scene, and seeing any ballet at this dazzling venue will guarantee a romantic date night. KC Ballet and KC Symphony team up to bring an unbeatable combination of dance and music. This show showcases the impressive choreography of Devon Carney and will be conducted by Ramona Pansegrau.

9. National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine  | Feb 18, 2024

The National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine has long been one of the most distinguished European orchestras, achieving worldwide recognition through its many international tours which include Australia, the US, Europe and Asia.

Internationally renowned cellist, Natalia Khoma, has been hailed around the world as “technically dazzling”, “intense, brilliant, and with perfect structure”. Khoma solos with the returning NSO Ukraine who perform a program of Ukrainian composers and Sibelius’ Third Symphony. This tour is an important showcase of the ensemble’s artistry and war-torn perseverance through selections from occupied nations.

10. Join the Biggest Mardi Gras Party in Town at Power & Light | Feb 17, 2024

It’s an instant party at the 15th annual Mardi Gras celebration at Kansas City Live! in the Power & Light District from 7 to 10 p.m. Entertainment includes street performers, crawfish eating contests, live music and more. The festivities continue at The Dubliner, Johnny’s Tavern, PBR Big Sky, Shark Bar and more.

11. KC Brew Fest | Feb 17, 2024

In a city famous for its excellent craft beer, KC Brew Fest is a huge annual event. Admission is pricey at $50 for general admission (1-4pm or 5-8pm) and $65 for early admission, but your ticket covers beer samples.

Enjoying a good beer isn’t one of the unique things to do in Kansas City, but when you have over 45 breweries present it is one of the best things to do! There will also be plenty of food trucks to keep you from sampling on an empty stomach. In addition, you can enjoy the historic Union Station, a Kansas City must-see all its own.

12. Skiing, Snowboarding and Tubing at Snow Creek – Ongoing all month (weather permitting)

You don’t have to drive to the Rockies to hit the slopes! Kansas City’s own ski mountain is located less than 30 minutes north of town near Weston, MO.

Snow Creek is a hidden gem for athletic-minded people looking for a great way to take advantage of the winter weather. Cold temperatures but no snow in the forecast? No worries – Snow Creek makes its own fresh powder!

Snow Creek has12 trails: 30% beginner, 60% intermediate, 10% expert (including terrain park). It has 5 Lifts including 2 Triple Chairlifts, 1 Double Chairlift, 1 Conveyor Carpet, and 1 Rope Tow. It has 2 Terrain Parks: Rattle Snake (expert) and Gunslinger Progression Park (beginner/intermediate).

Adult one-day lift tickets start at $53. Season passes are available.

13. Outdoor Ice Skating – Ongoing all month

There are a lot of places to go ice skating around Kansas City, but the outdoor rinks at Zona Rosa and Crown Center provide the best experiences.

Bring the kids to burn off some energy during the day or just your partner for a nostalgic winter evening together before grabbing dinner at one of the many restaurants that are located close to either rink.

14. Watch the Puck Fly at a Maverick Hockey Game – (check the schedule)

February may be the shortest month of the year, but the Mavericks will see the most action with 11 games scheduled in just 4 weeks. Catch a game at the Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence and cheer on Kansas City’s professional hockey team.

15. Kansas City: Scavenger Hunt 

Find hidden gems on an exciting Kansas City Scavenger experience through the city.
