A New Year equals a month of new events in the St. Louis area! Some of our favorite things to do in St. Louis in January include starting New Year’s Day off at one of the city’s special brunch events as well as fun yoga and beer events.

January St. Louis event highlights also include the car and RV Travel Shows for automotive and travel lovers. Plus, Brides to be, don’t miss the Bridal Show! Also, get excited because the annual Orchids Show is returning to the Missouri Botanical Gardens!

Here are our 13 can’t-miss events to kick off the New Year in St. Louis!

1. New Year’s Day Drag Brunch | January 1, 2023

Get ready to celebrate the New Year at the Budweiser Brew House enjoying the New Year’s Day Drag Brunch! This event will be your last chance to view the Tinsel Taverns holiday pop-up bar! Spend the morning watching an amazing drag show, dining on the brunch buffet, and drinking endless mimosas and Tinsel Tavern-themed cocktails. Tickets start at $50 and include bottomless mimosas.

2. The Morning After Brunch | January 1, 2023


The New Year has arrived and it is time to kick things off right at the Morning After Brunch! There will be live DJ sets throughout the events. If you attended the New Year’s Eve event the night before, you can use that wristband to receive a free shot! This event also offers bottomless mimosas, a brunch buffet, and more!

3. Love and Drag, Disco Edition | January 1, 2023

Love and Drag "Disco Edition" in St. Louis

Love and Drag, Disco Edition comes to St. Louis on New Year’s Day! This is a unique event featuring a special Drag Illusionist. This is a disco-themed event with acts performed by top local talent. There will also be a brunch buffet available at an additional cost. Tickets are $35 and include bottomless mimosas and all-day entertainment.

4. Yoga and Beer at Rockwell Beer Co. | January 5, 2023

Keep up with your New Year’s resolution at the Yoga and Beer at Rockwell Beer Co. event! This is an hour-long yoga class with live music throughout the event! Be sure to grab a beer or two after the class! Tickets include the yoga class and one drink! Must be 21 and older to attend. Tickets are only $25 so make sure to sign-up early!

5. The St. Louis winter Wedding Expo | January 7-8, 2023

This event is for brides-to-be and all wedding lovers! The St. Louis Winter Wedding Expo returns in January 2023. This event includes 16 seminars, dozens of vendor booths, and a huge runway fashion show! Be sure to enter the drawing for a chance to win a  $3,000 honeymoon and many other great prizes. Single-day tickets start at $15.00.

6. The St. Louis Auto Show | January 13-16, 2023

Calling all car and automobile lovers! The Annual St. Louis Auto Show is returning this January. Come check out the largest automobile exhibit and event in the area. 25 manufacturers will be displaying over 500 new cars, SUVs, trucks, and other luxury vehicles from across the globe.

While here, be sure to check out one of the drifting events taking place throughout the weekend. Tickets are $24.

7. Budtender’s Superhero Gala | January 14, 2023

Ever been to a Masquerade? Whether the answer is yes or no, you will not want to miss Budtender’s, Superhero Gala! It is a one-of-a-kind event! Dress up at your best but be sure to wear a cape and superhero mask! Your admission ticket includes a buffet of Extreme Munchies and an open bar. Tickets are free for Registered MO MMJ Agents and just $30 for everyone else.

8. Beer & Hot Dog Pairing with 4 Hands and Steve’s Hot Dog | January 14, 2023

Beer & Hot Dog Pairing

Hot dogs and beer is what is on tap at the Beer & Hot Dog Pairing with 4 Hans and Steve’s Hot Dog! Steve’s Hot Dogs and 4 Hands brewery are two iconic favorites in the St. Louis area, making this the event of the month! The event starts with the tapping of the Firkin keg and is followed by four courses of hot dog and beer pairings. There will be live entertainment throughout the event. Tickets are just $40.

January 14th, at 6:45 p.m.

9. MLK Community Celebration | January 14-16, 2023

If you haven’t visited the Missouri History Museum, then experiencing the MLK Community Celebration is your perfect chance! This celebration of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. provides opportunities for families to participate in youth activism workshops, having meaningful dialogs around the topics of race relations and social justice. Take part in storytelling and craft workshops. Sunday afternoon is the keynote address, a musical performance, and a yoga class! This event is free to attend.

10. Yoga + Drink @ Da Bevo | January 22, 2023


Yoga lovers of all ages and skill levels come and join the Yoga + Drink @ Da Bevo! This yoga experience includes a beverage after the class and you’ll be able to tour the iconic 100-year-old brewery. Be sure to remember to bring your bottled water and your yoga mat for the class itself! Must be over 21 to attend but be sure to register soon, the class caps out at 30 people. Tickets for this event are $15.

January 22nd, 9:30 am.- 10:30 a.m.

11. STL RV Travel Show | January 27-29, 2023

Get ready for the STL RV Travel Show! This is the 45th year for the STL RV Travel Show and this year promises to be better than ever! There will be over 300 RVs on display with the latest state-of-the-art technology and designs. Almost every style of recreational vehicle will be there to explore! Learn about the best RV travel destinations and campgrounds around the county. Tickets start at $10.

12. RFT and Molly’s Presents Winter Beer Festival | January 28, 2023

Head over to Soulard to take part in RFT and Molly’s Presents Winter Beer Festival! Try some of the dozens of seasonal beers from local breweries, most of these are only available for a limited time. Sample winter-themed cocktails while listening to live music, and dine at one of the eateries on restaurant row. Once full visit the vendor marketplace and warm up by one of the fire pits. Tickets range from $40-$80.

January 28th, 12:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.

13. Orchid Show | January 28, 2023


The Orchid Show kicks off on January 28th. This is a month-long event at the Missouri Botanical Gardens. Typically the orchids are kept in a greenhouse to be cared for by the horticulture team. But during this event, the orchids are on full display and blooming! There will be over 6,000 plants from 700 different types of orchids that will be on display. Different orchid species will bloom at different times during the show! Admission to this show is included with a ticket purchase to the gardens.
