2. First Fridays at the Crossroads Art District | June 2, 2023

Every first Friday of the month the KC Crossroads fills with galleries and exhibits of artists of all kinds. This experience offers an immersive view of the art of local, national, and even international artists. Enjoy local restaurants, breweries, food trucks, and shops.

4. Festa Italiana | June 2-4, 2023

Festa Italiana

Ciao! Come celebrate Italian culture and traditions with the annual Festa Italiana festival! This unique ethnic celebration draws in visitors from all over to come together to enjoy food, entertainment, a beer garden, and novelty booths.

The weekend also includes Motori in Piazza (Italian Motorsports Show), an outdoor Catholic Mass on Sunday, and a kid’s zone with bounce houses.

5. Hospital Hill Run | June 3, 2023

Looking to get active for a good cause this June? The 49th annual Hospital Hill Run is taking place on Saturday, June 3rd at 7am. All proceeds go towards the Children’s Mercy I Love Children’s Mercy Fund. Options include a half marathon, 5k or 10k.

All runners will receive a bag of race swag and bib numbers to wear during the race. Pricing depends on age and distance of race selected.

6. KC PrideFest | June 9-11, 2023

Named one of the top 10 LBGTQ festivals in the nation, PrideFest 2023 Kansas City offers an inclusive way to celebrate and embrace diversity!

Hosted by the Kansas City Pride Community Alliance, this festival invites the LGBTQ community and its supporters to this annual event.

The KC Pride Parade will take place on Saturday, June 10 at 11am through downtown Kansas City with a kickoff party in Westport just before the parade from 8:30-10:30. Live music and performances from local and national headlines will follow!

7. Heart of America Shakespeare Festival | June 13 – July 2, 2023

This festival celebrates its 31st anniversary season with the Tempest featuring Bruce Roach as Prospero. Get ready for magic, mayhem, music and unforgettable memories is this timeless Shakespeare classic.

The production will show daily Tuesday-Sunday for the duration of the festival. The city park is transformed into a theater by the Good Will Society to bring together people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy this classic production.

8. Boulevardia | June 16-17, 2023

Hosted by Boulevard Brewing Company, the one-of-a-kind Boulevardia Festival is an urban beer, food and music festival. It’s a street fair, beer event and music fest rolled into one amazing experience.

The pop-up nation will feature new explorations and surprise elements as it all goes down in June on Father’s Day Weekend. The two-day celebration will be highlighted by a craft beer and food sampling experience, music from local, regional, and national acts as well as family activities, entertainment, shopping, and eco-education in a unique urban setting.

The festival is excited to welcome nearly 60 national, regional and local acts to perform at the 2023. Headliners performing on the main stage include Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Surfaces, The War and Treaty, grandson, K.Flay, and Big Freedia.

June 19th  is a federal holiday that has been designated as Juneteenth to commemorate the emancipation of slaves in the United States. In celebration of this holiday, JuneteenthKC is hosting the 11th annual Heritage Festival to celebrate African American pride and culture!

10. Kansas City BBQ Festival – June 23-24, 2023

Come meet the biggest names in BBQ from Kansas City & across the country at the Kansas City BBQ Festival. The event takes place at GEHA Field at Arrowhead on May 6th, 7th, and 8th and features BBQ, Bands and Beer. BBQ is back! The 2nd annual KC BBQ Fest is June 23-24, 2023 at Arrowhead Stadium.

12. Vaile Strawberry Festival | June 3, 2023

This annual Vaile Strawberry Festival centers around everyone’s favorite summer fruit, strawberries!

It takes place in the beautiful, historic Vaile Mansion. From 9am – 4pm on Saturday, June 3, patrons can enjoy dozens of craft, food and antique booths that will be set up throughout the mansion.

The Vaile Society will be selling strawberry treats to enjoy as you walk through and shop. Mansions tours will be offered throughout the day for $10 for adults and $5 for children.

13. Tacos and Tequila Festival | June 17, 2023

Tacos and Tequila

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to enjoy tacos and margaritas! The Tacos and Tequila festival features 100 chef-inspired street tacos, tequila tastings, lucha libre wrestling and an exotic car showcase.

As if that weren’t enough, entertainment includes performances by big names like Ja Rule, Lil Jon, Flo Rida, and Paul Wall.
