2. 24th Annual Clark Terry Jazz Festival in Cape Girardeau | February 3, 2023

The Clark Terry Jazz Festival: Women in Jazz, Gala Concert is the culminating concert for the Jazz Festival and will be presented by the Southeast Jazz Ensembles and guest artist Sharel Cassity. This concert will feature all women composers and arrangers. Tickets $15. Currently enrolled SE students can get one $5 ticket by presenting their SE ID at the box office.

1st Friday art gallery

Come and view art from Missouri artists in the Alliance Art Gallery in Hannibal Missouri. The Hannibal Second Saturday Gallery Night event happens on each second Saturday of the month from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.

Each month, Gallery Night hosts a featured artist. There is art from other local artists, food, and fun. Original pieces of sculpture, prints, photographs, and paintings are for sale.

6. Uncorked Wine & Culinary Experience in Jefferson City | February 13, 2023

Uncorked Wine & Culinary Experience” fundraiser takes place February 13th from 5:30-9 pm. The evening will feature three courses of gourmet bites paired with different wines. Also featuring live music, a photography exhibit and award ceremony honoring outstanding achievement and participation in Jefferson City cultural arts. The fundraiser will provide funding for four grants and scholarships.

Exhibitors will showcase exotic mammals, amphibians, birds, and reptiles at the Winter Reptiles and Exotics Show. There will be a variety of reptile equipment like substrate, cleaners, heating, feeders, lighting, and more. 

Food, activities, educational stations, and face painting will also be featured. Both days, the event takes place from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM at the District 9 Machinists Hall.

12. Morpho Mardi Gras In Saint Louis – Through FEbruary 21, 2023

Visit the beautiful Butterfly Garden at the Missouri Botanical Garden the first day of March. You can see gorgeous Morpho Blue butterflies that might land on your hand or arm. This is an exciting and memorable event for the entire family.

Admission is free for members. 13 and up is $14 per person and Seniors are $6 if they are Saint Louis city residents.

The event runs until February 21st, Sunday through Thursday from 10 am – 4pm.

13. Mardi Gras Pub Crawl in Lake of the Ozarks – February 24-26, 2023

The 2023 Lake Pub Crawl is a three-day event that allows more celebration time and less crowding in the same venues. In early February, you can purchase the LOZ Mardi Gras Pub Crawl Passport App from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Buying the app is not a requirement to participate. There are a variety of transportation opportunities in the area.

14. 2023 KC Brew Fest in Kansas City | Feburary 25, 2023

In a city famous for its excellent craft beer, Brew Fest is a huge annual event. Admission is $50 for general admission (1-4pm or 5-8pm) and $65 for early admission, but your ticket covers beer samples.

The event will take place at historic Union Station, and will feature over 50 breweries, 125 beers, music, and KC’s best food trucks to keep you from sampling on an empty stomach. Plus, the historic Union Station is a Kansas City must-see all its own. The event takes place from 12:00pm – 8:00pm.

18. Hidden Valley Ski Resort in Wildwood – Thru Mid-March

You can ski at Hidden Valley in Wildwood, Missouri. Activities include tubing, snowboarding, and skiing. Trails range from beginner to advanced. Hidden Valley’s season is affected by weather conditions. Typically, it is open about 70 days per year.

There is also a retail shop, bar, and cafeteria. The resort offers exceptional night skiing, a ski school, and first aid. Equipment rental is available.

The ski resort is open Monday through Wednesday from 5:00 to 9:00 PM, Thursday and Friday 1:00 to 9:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

February brings the chance of 1-3 days of snow, but the good news is, with an average annual snowfall of 12.9 inches, Missouri is one of the least snowy states in the United States. Obviously, depending on where you visit in Missouri, there will be variations to the averages.
