1. First Fridays in the Crossroads Arts District in Kansas city – Feb 4

No First Friday is the same thanks to an eclectic mix of art galleries, boutiques, food trucks, and more. First Fridays in Crossroads is one of the best free things to do in Kansas City every month for art lovers! This late-night event offers something for everyone in one of Downtown’s most vibrant neighborhoods.

2. Fish Feeding Frenzy in St. Joseph – February 4, 11, 18 & 25

Fish Feeding Frenzy

There is a 7000-gallon aquarium at the Remington Nature Center in St. Joseph, Missouri. On February 18, kids can help feed the fish from the Missouri River at the Fish Feeding Frenzy.

Kids help cut worms and watch the staff feed them to the fish. Every child receives a Fish Feeding Sticker. The feeding takes place from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at 1502 McArthur Dr.

3. Harlem Globetrotters in St. Joseph – February 10

The Harlem Globetrotters “Spread Game Tour” is coming to St. Joseph, MO, on February 10. They perform at the St. Joseph Civic Arena from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Expect rim-rattling, jaw-dropping swags, and ankle-breaking moves from the fully modernized show.

4. 2nd Saturday in Weston – February 12

There is a lot of fun during the 2nd Saturday in Historic Weston event. Sample a taste of Weston’s specialty shops, brewery, wineries, and local restaurants. The event takes place on February 12.

Shopping begins at 11:00 AM. Tastings are from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Entertainment is provided until midnight. Features of the event include music, food, designated parking, and commercial vendors. It is held on Main Street in the Downtown Historic District.

1st Friday art gallery

Come and view art from Missouri artists in the Alliance Art Gallery in Hannibal Missouri. The Hannibal Second Saturday Gallery Night event happens on each second Saturday of the month from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.

Each month, Gallery Night hosts a featured artist. There is art from other local artists, food, and fun. Original pieces of sculpture, prints, photographs, and paintings are for sale.

6. Hughes Music Show Valentine’s Day in Branson – February 14

Take your valentine out for fun and romance at the Hughes Music Show. It will be a memorable evening with a free memory portrait and fun renewal of wedding vows. Before the show, there is a delicious meal served, complete with music, flowers, candlelight, and a romantic movie. Dinner is served at 6:30 PM. The show starts at 8:00 PM.

7. Johnson County Fairground Annual Hog Roast in Warrensburg – February 17

On February 17, the Johnson County Fair Association will hold its Annual Hog Roast and Dessert Auction. The event takes place at the Fairgrounds in Warrensburg, starting at 6:00 PM. Proceeds are used to support Johnson County Fair Association activities.

8. Kansas City Ballet presents ‘Dracula’ – February 18-27

The internationally renowned Dracula is back by popular demand. It is based on the classic gothic horror story by Bram Stoker. The show is as compelling as it is terrifying.

It will be performed at the Kaufman Center for Performing Arts. This theatrical work has special effects, thrilling sets, and sensuous costumes in a gripping, original score that is breathtaking. Parental discretion is advised.

9. Mardi Gras Pub Crawl in Lake of the Ozarks – February 18 to February 20

The 2022 Lake Pub Crawl is a three-day event that allows more celebration time and less crowding in the same venues. In early February, you can purchase the LOZ Mardi Gras Pub Crawl Passport App from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Buying the app is not a requirement to participate. There are a variety of transportation opportunities in the area.

10. Springfield Women’s Show – February 19

Come and enjoy a day of fun, beauty, health, fashion, food, and shopping at the Springfield Women’s Show from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds.

Attendees explore their personal style, uncover their passion, and renew their soul while relaxing and rejuvenating under one roof. Connect with popular brands and buy from fabulous exhibitors. There are hair and make-up demonstrations, fashion shows, and cooking demonstrations.

11. Shen Yun – February 19 to February 20

The words ‘Shen Yun’ evoke a sense of the divine, magic, and wonder. Audiences say the show is an experience of a lifetime. It seeks the revival of a once majestic tradition with the creation of production worthy of noble history and beauty.

Discover the glory of a fantastic, rich Chinese culture at the Stifel Theatre. The shows start at 1:30 PM on February 19 and 20.

12. Fire and Ice: Havana Nights in Warrensburg – February 25

The Western Missouri Medical Center Foundation hosts the third annual Fire & Ice: Havana Night’s fundraiser on February 25 at Milestone’s Barn in Warrensburg, Missouri. Play classic casino games, like as Roulette, CRAPS, Let it Ride, the Money Wheel, Texas Hold ‘Em, and Black Jack. Attendees receive tokens to use for playing the games. They have access to decadent hors d’oeuvres and a Havana-style champagne fountain.

13. Hot Winter Fun Big Show in Branson – February 26

Take a trip to Branson, Missouri, to escape the winter blues. On February 26, Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theater presents the 28th Annual Hot Winter Fun Big Show. There will be a full line-up of stars and shows. The presentation starts at 3:00 PM.

14. Springfield Winter Reptiles and Exotics Show – February 26- 27

On February 26 and 27, exhibitors will showcase exotic mammals, amphibians, birds, and reptiles at the Springfield Winter Reptiles and Exotics Show. There will be a variety of reptile equipment like substrate, cleaners, heating, feeders, lighting, and more. 

Food, activities, educational stations, and face painting will also be featured. Both days, the event takes place from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds.

15. Hidden Valley Ski Resort in Wildwood – Thru Mid-March

You can ski at Hidden Valley in Wildwood, Missouri. Activities include tubing, snowboarding, and skiing. Trails range from beginner to advanced. Hidden Valley’s season is affected by weather conditions. Typically, it is open about 70 days per year.

There is also a retail shop, bar, and cafeteria. The resort offers exceptional night skiing, a ski school, and first aid. Equipment rental is available.

The ski resort is open Monday through Wednesday from 5:00 to 9:00 PM, Thursday and Friday 1:00 to 9:00 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
