1. Faulkner’s Ranch
Faulkner’s Ranch is one of the closest pumpkin patches Kansas City has to offer. There are more than 25 activities aside from just pumpkin picking. Some of these activities include Cactus Ring Toss, pedal karts, playground, petting farm, mazes, and giant Jenga.
2022 marks the 24th Pumpkin Season for Faulkner’s Ranch.
The pumpkin patch will be open for the 2022 season from September 30 – Sunday, October 30 (closed on Mondays).

2. City Market
The City Market’s Farmers’ Market is the largest farmers’ market in the region and always a top choice for produce. While it isn’t a Kansas City pumpkin patch, it’s a great option to find a pumpkin if you can’t make it to a pumpkin farm.
Beyond the fresh produce and goods sold on Saturday and Sunday, during September and October there are piles of gourds, squash and all kinds of pumpkins for sale.

4. Crazy Craig’s U-Pick Pumpkins
Crazy Craig’s Pumpkins & Mums offer a U-pick pumpkin patch, straw maze, hay mountain, mums, corn stalks, gourds, straw bales and Indian corn.
They are open every day between Sept. 17 – Oct. 31 from 10am – 6pm for the 2022 season.

Pumpkin Valley is a family-owned 60-acre farm whose pumpkin patch festivities happen every weekend in October! Start a visit at Pumpkin Valley by milking a cow or petting an alpaca before picking the perfect pumpkin.
The patch is usually open until 6 pm every day in October. The activities you can enjoy here include pumpkin painting, Indian teepee, potato sack races, and face painting,

Louisburg Cider Mill is open year round. The Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patchi is open September 16 – October 31.

Boo at the Zoo
Boo at the Kansas City Zoo is a fun experience where children receive treats while enjoying Halloween-themed activities and entertainment. The zoo animals will be smashing pumpkins at scheduled times throughout the day.
Boo at the Zoo will be held on Oct. 24, 25, and 31.

Liberty Corn Maze
Liberty Corn Maze is a fun fall tradition. This year’s design theme for opening weekend we will be honoring First Responders (police, firefighters, EMTs) and military. These heroes will get one free admission with a valid service ID.
There are eight mazes total – four designed for kids and four elaborate ones with varying degrees of difficulty.
Smaller mazes made with rock, rope, tire and soybeans are perfect for little ones that aren’t ready for the big maze. The festivities begin on Friday, September 16, 2022 and the maze will close on Sunday, October 30, 2022.

Dunn’s Cider Mill
Combine this with a trip to Johnson Farms pumpkin patch, which is located next door. Dunn’s sell’s fresh cider donuts and delicious apple cider as well as apple butter and Amish jams.

Pony Express Pumpkin Fest
Pony Express Pumpkin Fest is an annual, family-focused festival sponsored by the Pony Express Museum and takes place at Patee Park.
Children’s activities include crafts and games, a wandering magician, a balloon man, storytelling, and much more.
The highlight of the celebration takes places on Friday at 8pm, when over 800 hand-carved pumpkins will be electrically lit on “Pumpkin Mountain” in front of the museum. A special lighting will also occur at 8pm on Saturday.
Children’s costume parade is Saturday the 9th at 11 am.
Several food vendors will be on site.
Pony Express Pumpkin Fest is October 7th – 9th.
