My personal favorite is Le Franco crepe made with caramelized green apple, toasted walnuts, fig compote, Brie cheese and crème fraiche.

They have a full coffee bar with expresso, cappucino, Lattes, Mochas, as well as serving French wines, Champagne and spirits.

They are open Monday from 11:00 am – 2:00pm and Tuesday Through Sunday 8:00 am – 3:00pm.

McLain’s Bakery is located has been a staple in the Waldo neighborhood since 1945. While they are known as one of the best and biggest bakeries in town, they also have a great breakfast menu.

While they are an obvious great place for pastries, they also have classic comfort foods for breakfast like the pepperjack burrito, an incredible fried egg sandwich with sausage, cheddar, avocado and jalapeno spread on sourdough toast as well as veggie quiche.

If you haven’t been recently, they just did a renovation and expansion that is quite impressive. They have kept the homey feel and the ability to peek into the kitchen and added a lot more seating.

Yes the wait will be long, that’s because it’s good. Located in the Westport neighborhood, Snooze Eatery is a retro chain serving a seasonal menu of creative breakfast food in a diner-style vibe.

They have an full breakfast menu, but some of the notable dishes include Shrimp and Grits, their Breakfast Burrito, and the mouthwatering Habañero Pork Belly Benny. They have a full bar, so breakfast can always include a Bloody Mary or Mimosa!

Cafe Corazón

Cafe Corazón doesn’t have a lot on the breakfast menu, but they have the best breakfast Empanadas in town and are made with eggs, bacon and cheese. They also serve a great Chorizo burriot on the weekends.

They also serve the best Yerba Mate tea from Latin American and fair trade coffee, roasted right here in Kansas City.

Oddly Correct

You need to check out Oddly Correct if you like good coffee. Also, easily the best biscuit breakfast sandwich in KCMO.

They have donuts and other stuff too, but it’s limited. Their focus is coffee and the brekkie sandos. Get it with pimento or cheese curd, or jam, sausage or bacon, eggs one way. It’s a simple ordering experience and off the wall delicious.

Happy Gillis

Happy Gillis Cafe has a limited menu compared to most traditional breakfast joints.

Many locals swear that Happy Gillis have the best biscuits and gravy in town. Other breakfast options are a breakfast sandwich, classic breakfast (eggs and bacon) or yogurt and granola. Their are additional a la carte options so someone can build their own breakfast.

No matter what you order it’s going to be good, and it’s worth going, but OP should know it has a severely limited menu compared to most traditional breakfast joints.
