The brewery has 10-12 beers on tap and serves German-style food such as pretzels, mustard, bratwurst, saurkraut, bier cheese, soup, and more.

Every Saturday and Sunday, local pianist Bram Wijnands plays live polka and German-style music from 3-5 PM. Various music events are held throughout the year as well.

The ambiance is casual and understated. The “bE beer garden” is a large space with plenty of picnic tables and decorated with funky pieces of art, cool signs, and wild graffiti.

They offer a full menu featuring fresh seasonal ingredients and elevates casual fare food.

There are more than a dozen Kansas City breweries with a great outdoor space or patio. Enjoy the gorgeous spring, summer, and fall weather with an ice-cold beer straight from the tap at these local breweries.

These brewery taprooms and brewpubs offer a variety of patio options.

Callsign Brewery

Callsign Brewery has 125 feet of patio, overlooking a parking lot. It hosts outdoor seating, with access to an outdoor bar that will be open on the weekends in the spring/summer.

Callsign Brewery offers 16 beers on tap and $5 pints on Wednesday Pint Night. You can find Wolfepack BBQ at the brewery serving food Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. They hope to extend food day and hours in the spring and summer.

They occasionally have live music inside, usually on Friday nights (so keep your eye on their social media for updates).

They are one of the few breweries in Kansas City with two taprooms; the main one, and a small side taproom, which can host private parties, meetings, etc. They routinely host events to raise money or benefit local veteran organizations.

Torn Label has 12 beers on tap and more in cans. Mondays are Service and Health Care Industry appreciation night and all draws are $5 for the service industry and healthcare workers. Thursday is Teachers’ appreciation night and all draws are $5 for teachers.

Torn Label’s Public House in Kansas City serves a rotating menu of hand-crafted pub fare that follows the seasons with fresh ingredients. The Big Rip is a 4-barrel sci-fi-themed brewery offering a range of beer styles. There are 13 beers on tap. They also offer wine, liquor, and house-made non-alcoholic sodas. They have a taproom with extra seating in the Cabin in the Woods Event space, which is also available to rent for private events.

The outdoor patio has several tables for either small or large groups, umbrellas for shade, and a chest of yard games available to play. Food is available to order from Hawg Jaw BBQ next door via a kiosk in the taproom, and they will bring it right to your table!

Different specials are offered each day that include $1-$2 off beers, growler fill discounts, and more.

Casual Animal Brewing Company has two raised verandas that provide a cool view of the old KC Star newspaper building and downtown KC. Their garage doors are up in fair weather and also provide a nice indoor/outdoor atmosphere.

The brewery has 11 beers on tap and offers light bar snacks like nuts, pretzels and chips. Outside food is always welcome.

The goal of Red Sash is to have anyone who walks in the door feel welcome and at home. One of their pillars is ‘community’ and that’s a reason they try to keep a wide variety of beers and love doing collabs.

Double Shift offers 11 beers on tap, happy hour Tuesday through Thursday from 4 to 6pm and Friday and Saturday from 12 to 2pm that are $1 off select full pours. They also offer bar snacks like pretzels and hummus. Live music on most First Fridays.

Double Shift Brewing Company has seen a lot of exciting changes over the last two years. This includes a facelift inside and out at the taproom with fresh paint, merch, and the release of cans.
